Mini-Wedding vs Eloping.

When choosing what kind of ceremony you want to have on your big day, size matters!

This goes not just for the amount of invites going out, but also it helps you focus on the details and the process, the packages for each vendor and venue changes, and those changes reflect in your wallet.

Heres when these two ceremonies  come into play. The difference between a mini-wedding (micro-wedding) and an eloping ceremony is size and time; they are both small and intimate ceremonies, that allow the happy couple to have time and flexibility to focus on the special details they want for their ceremony.

Not that they wouldn’t be able to do it in a big wedding, but the pressure between a ceremony with 20 guests vs 300, can make a difference.

So for an elopement, the happy couple chooses their absolute VIP to be in attendance, this is typically a ceremony lasting 15 min tops, with less than 10 people. It is traditionally known as a “spur-of-the-moment” decision, but nowadays it has transformed into an intimate gathering to witness, and celebrate the union of love.

A micro-wedding or a mini-ceremony, is a bit larger wedding with 20 guests or less, with a traditional ceremony and more planning. The couple can take their time to meet with a wedding planner if they choose to, hire their minister and prepare their personalized script for their ceremony.

At the end of the day, it all boils down to what the couple wants, when they want their wedding and how many people they want for their big day!
