Unplugged wedding.

“Please silence all phones and devices. No video recordings or pictures during the ceremony. Bride and groom kindly ask you to sit back, and enjoy the event of the year!”

Everyone’s ceremony is an event they want to remember, and no one wants to steal the spotlight away from the couple, by getting a phone call during the wedding ceremony!!

Having your minister say a few words before the ceremony begins, can go a long way. It’s your day, so you get to set the rules and we will all follow!

Setting the tone at the beginning of the ceremony, helps your loved ones understand that you want to have their undivided attention during your ceremony. It’s not a selfish request!! After all, you and your partner have been preparing for this moment, you have planned, coordinated and payed to have that special moment, it should go the way you want it to and not with someone’s ringtone….

As a minister, I love public speaking (really whoever is officiating a wedding, should! Otherwise it might be a really difficult time for them!) so, talking directly to your guests and making sure your ceremony is respected, is the least I can do for you on your big day!

Did you attend an unplugged wedding? What are your thoughts? For, against? Let me know!
